PubTalkForum's Academy Awards Nomination List

Postby Matteo » Jan 30, '15, 6:26 pm

After some positive feedback in this thread, I've decided to go on with PubTalkForum's own version of the Academy Awards. This means we choose our own winners from the Academy's recently announced nomination list which I will now post below. Some important notes first:

• You have up until February 18 to submit your votes to me via. PM.
• You have a little over two weeks to catch up on some of these films - of course, you're not expected to see them all, but if you can view more than a handful, that would be nice.
• A few users have already submitted their lists - this is fine, but don't feel rushed to send them in straight away. Take your time, there's no rush.
• Even if you haven't seen too many films from the list below, please participate - the more comprehensive the output, the better.

These are the categories I have chosen (i.e., the main ones). Simply C&P this list and highlight your selected winners by February 18. Our winners will be announced either a day before or after the official Academy Awards ceremony. Afterwards, we'll do a comparison between our winners and their winners and see the differences. Also, I know this board has a few talented GFX people, so if anyone is willing to create a small banner titled "PubTalkForum's Academy Awards" (or something along those lines) by February 18, that would, indeed, be very nice too.

If you have any questions or feedback or would like any changes made, feel free to ask in this thread or via. PM. Best of luck with your selections and let PTF's Academy Awards begin!

So far I've only seen three of the Best Picture nominees. I'd like to see at least two more before making my vote, but man, out of the three I've seen it's definitely a tough choice so far.

Thank you, @Everlong.

Since only a few posters have submitted their lists in, I'll give everyone one more week to catch up on any viewings and finalise their nominations. I'll announce the winners at the end of the month and then compare it with the actual winners of the Academy Awards ceremony that will take place on the 22nd of February.
