Thoughts?

Of course, there has been the usual criticism around Will Smith playing Deadshot. There will always be an argument about white characters being played by white actors and black characters being played by black actors. Personally, I don't think it matters. Just as long as he does a good job. Glad to see Tom Hardy on board. Always look forward to seeing him on film. Jared Leto obviously has huge shoes to fill. You just know no matter how good of a job he does, people will unfairly compare him to Heath Ledger. It's not gonna be an easy task but if anyone can do it, I'm sure it's him. Margot Robbie is an excellent choice for Harley Quinn and the one I am the most confident will turn out great. I think she will do a brilliant job. I don't know too much about Jai Courtney. Don't think I have seen anything he is in but I hope he can do well. I have never seen Cara act before. Being a model, I'm skeptical about her being able to do a good job but time will tell.

I think if there's a current actor I'd want to play The Joker, it'd be Jared Leto. He was amazing in Dallas Buyers Club and has a lot of versatility. I tend to like villains more than heroes so I'm excited for this one, even if it's a DC movie which I usually find underwhelming.

Definitely an all-star cast, but I'm skeptical about the quality of the movie overall. A good cast alone won't be enough for me to want to see it, and Heath Ledger basically ruined anybody else ever playing the Joker for me (even though it had to happen at some point).

If I was to hazard a guess I'd say Leto will go for a more Mark Hamill/Jack Nicholson style Joker and I'm not sure how I feel about the character being reintroduced on the big screen. Margot Robbie as Harley though? Big A+ from me. I like Tom Hardy but I'm unsure about Will Smith, nothing to do with race just him in general I find to be really...hit or miss, he can either be really good (I Am Legend) or really meh (most things).

Jared leto will make a great Joker he's a fantastic actor and if he had stuck with acting more than music he'd be considering one of the best around today IMO.
