Which would you prefer to be?

I'd go for directing, no doubt about it.

Directing. I'm a visual person, and I enjoy writing, but it's hard to convey what I see in my head into words on paper. If I have actual things I can see and interact with, I could really show people all the ideas I have.

Acting. I loved drama at school and regret that I didn't take it forward with any seriouness. I'll always remember my final drama project at school in my last year and my teacher coming over and praising my performance, gave me such a buzz.

Screenwriting. Creating a story would be the most rewarding part of the process for me. It's probably the area that I'd be most talented at also.

Though creating a score would be something else that I'd very much enjoy.

If I could choose any I'd love to be an actor, but more realistically given my skillset and lack of a Hollywood look (:P) I'd be a writer. I've always enjoyed writing and think I could at least put out a decent screenplay.

I think I'd be the other way around. I could direct someone else's screenplay, but if I wrote something I'd have to direct it myself, because it'd be frustrating for me to watch someone try to make my own work come to life.

I agree with this sentiment more than vader's. Though lets be honest, if any of us had the opportunity to work on a major project in any capacity, we'd take whatever we could get.
