This is the problem with these kinds of arguments, everyone just jumps to conclusions regardless of which side you're on. It's so easy to call someone ignorant, when you yourself could be the ignorant one in the situation. I don't think Circle Square is against gay people. I disagree with you saying it wouldn't be different. It's not like there's a clear cause for people being Gay. No gene has been discovered that makes people Gay (I've heard of it but it hasn't been proven I believe) and being a homosexual is against some peoples religion. To clear the air I'm not against Gay people, no hatred or religious bias here. Being black isn't anybodies choice and that's a proven fact. So IMO racism > homophobia on the "offensive" scale.

But when would it make sense? When would it ever make sense? When is it acceptable for them to show a gay couple on TV? It doesn't have to make sense. It shouldn't need to make sense. It shouldn't be an issue at all. Some people are gay and therefor they have depicted a gay couple on this show. The thought I seem to be getting from you and in fact the other people have been complaining is that you seem to be thinking, why do they have to be gay. And I ask, why not?

Look, some people are against gays. That's just how it is. But don't try to make it out like it's something else. Don't make it out like it's a sin or you think it shouldn't be shown to children. Let's talk about sin. Let's talk about the seven deadly sins. Every single one of them can relate to many characters and many different points in the show. No one complained then. What about the ten commandments? I'm sure every single one has been broken during the show. Did anyone complain? No. What about the dude complaining about PDA? I'm sure he didn't mind it when a straight couple kissed. And now they are worried about their kids watching? Give me a break.

And not to mention all of the horror and brutal violence. All of that stuff is not sinful and ok for kids to watch, but not two men kissing? Kid shouldn't even be watching in the first place! It's an adult show. These people need to get a life and get a clue.

I'm a Christian and I was raised a certain way, but as an adult you obviously come to your own conclusions. My conclusion was that it has no effect on my life if two men love each other or get married. Sames goes for women. Or transgender, or whatever. Absolutely zero effect. And now as a father, if my kids came up to me tomorrow and said they like boys, would I love them any less? No. Do I necessarily agree with that lifestyle? Do I believe it's a choice or people or born that way? It doesn't matter whether I do or not. It has no effect on me and it's none of my business just as it is no one else's business what I believe.

I had the discussion the other day with someone who said they didn't believe a child should be raised by a gay couple. Well, as a cop, I see a lot of shit. And I've had to see countless neglected, hungry, dirty children who are raised in hellacious environments by drugs addict, alcoholics, and people who just don't give a shit. You mean to tell me that's better than gay people raising kids? I call BS on that one.

But on the other side of this fence, to me, it's completely no one's business if someone doesn't agree with someone's lifestyle. AS LONG AS they aren't being hateful, violent, etc (See: Westboro Baptist Church). My father, a very religious man, one of the most genuinely nice people to ever walk this earth, doesn't agree with that lifestyle choice. However, he's never treated anyone gay differently, been hateful towards them, and treats them just as well as he treats everyone else. Just because someone's religious beliefs are what they are, doesn't make them a bigot. There's a fine line to tread. It's his business what he believes and no one else's. Just because someone is Christian doesn't mean they have to be lumped in with the assholes as Westboro. They are a small minutia. That's like saying all Muslims are terrorists. But that's basically what happens nowadays. If someone has a certain belief, they are automatically a bigot, regardless of anything.

I'm the wrong guy to respond to about the bible. I don't care that Christians have something against Gay people, but if we are to live in a world were religious opinion is tolerated, we've got to deal with the byproduct of such a belief system, IE: calling out a show for promoting a sin. Murder is not taken as a good thing in the show but that scene with the kiss was supposed to be a good thing. I don't think I explained that last bit right.

People growing up now aren't disciplined harshly (usually) and are very impressionable. So when the media is always making Gayness (if there was a better word LMAO) a thing on your TV.
