To be fair to the new Joker look, it's a lot more in keeping with comic book Joker than Ledger's Joker was. I seem to remember a lot of fuss about the fact Ledger's Joker wore face paint instead of having his skin bleached by chemicals. The character has literally had his own face surgically removed and stapled it back on as well, so a grill and a few tattoos is pretty conservative from my perspective.

The trailer looks tons of fun. Looking forward to this far more than Batman V Superman. Also like that the trailer doesn't appear to give the whole film away, which is a nice change of pace really.
