Yeah holy shit, what a start to this show.

The second episode was even better. The intensity of the first bit at the house and out in the desert, the way it tied in to the ending and the opportunity that presented itself to Jimmy, the great fucking montage at the courthoues and the parking lot gate, the scene at Chuck's house... man.

I'm fully convinced that this is going to be a great show now. So pumped.

Loving this show so far. I went into it a little dubious because I loved Breaking Bad but I have been really impressed.

Thing is, there are so many things to look forward to. How does he end up with the name Saul Goodman? Will we see him meet his wife who he caught in bed with his step-father? How does Mike end up working for him? Will will see any other characters pop up?

Really looking forward to seeing this show progress. Just one question. What is the deal with Chuck? Maybe I missed the explanation but from what I can gather, he went nuts and now has a fear of electronics. Is that the gist of it?

From what I read and can tell, his character has electromagnetic hypersensitivity.

I've thought the first four episodes have been amazing. I've been excited for this show since I heard about it because of the Breaking Bad ties, but it has definitely exceeded my expectations.

Yeah, I'm definitely enjoying it. Although it is feeling just a little directionless at the moment. It's still entertaining, but it's starting to feel a bit random in moments.

Yeah, I'm definitely enjoying it. Although it is feeling just a little directionless at the moment. It's still entertaining, but it's starting to feel a bit random in moments.

I can see how you'd think that, but I've enjoyed how they've laid the groundwork so far. They had to give us an idea of who Jimmy was before he was Saul, because right now they are two completely different people. Jimmy is trying to walk the straight and narrow, trying to establish a legit law firm under his brother's mantra of hard work and nobility. However, that's just not Jimmy's nature and that's an internal struggle for him. He's naturally a scam artist, and a criminal.

I think this last episode was a turning point in this show. When Betsy told Jimmy "you're the kind of lawyer guilty people hire", I believe that may have been the straw the break the camels back. He reluctantly took the bribe knowing it would disappoint his brother and "upon that rock he will build his church." I think now we'll start seeing the evolution into Saul. The billboard scam was fantastic.

It's been entertaining, a little slow but I feel like it's going to follow a similar pattern to Breaking Bad where each episode carefully builds the narrative up to it's conclusion.

I also think there's an inherent desire for us to see him become Saul, maybe even quickly, and when he doesn't things may feel a little slow.

Not to mention the scene with the potty training toilet made me laugh harder than I have in a really long time.

Yeah it was pretty great. Although it highlighted a problem I do have with this series. A spinoff that centered around Mike would have been more compelling to me than one around Saul.

Eh, I think Mike works a lot better as a peripheral character. Saul has a lot more personality which makes him better as the central figure of the show. He's much more versatile.

But yeah, Banks's performance was fucking brilliant. Great episode.
