I am really looking forward to a Prometheus 2 and if Scott is on a new Alien movie to follow it along the story I am more than willing to watch that too.
I also want to note though, Alien is my favorite of the movies, Aliens was good, but a very different approach and not Scott's work at all.
Anything after that to me was a bit mere garbage, so seeing things coming back to the originators hands has a bit of a glee filled kid in me. I say bring it on.
I could write a novel-length essay on the amount of problems I had with Prometheus.

There were so many of them. I've ranted about that film more than maybe any other.
The biggest problem is the characters. None of them make any sense. They all just do things, without any logical motivation. The guy with the maps gets lost, the biologist is the one that needs to save his face in front of an obviously dangerous alien. The robot just pushes buttons at random. Theron is the villain for trying to do practical things like not let zombies onto the ship (which is totally what Ripley would have done in
Alien).
It was awful. One of the worst films that I've seen in some years. It was pretty though.
