It can't just be me who's hyped for Foxcatcher, right?

Steve Carrell looks awesome - I've seen people claim it's his best ever work. From what it shows in the trailer, he puts in a pretty chilling performance. Mark Ruffalo has received a ton of praise for his role in the film as well.

A true story, too. I can't wait to see it.

Yeah, this is just one of many movies I'm really looking forward to seeing this fall. Already knocked Interstellar off the list. Still want to see:

-Foxcatcher
-The Theory of Everything
-Hunger Games
-Birdman

And I know I'm missing one or two others also.

Been intrigued with this one since I first heard about it last year.

Not at all, I'm really excited for the film. Tatum and Ruffalo supposedly give great turns and Steve Carrell is being touted as an early front-runner for awards season - I'm a big fan of his mainly due to how much I loved the US Office so I can't wait to see him in such a dark, intense role.

Apart from Hunger games (which ive never gotten into) I too want to see the same films, especially Birdman, Emmanuel Lubezki did the cinematography and the guy is a complete genius the guy could be the best cinematographer to ever live and will 100% get atleast nominated for best cinematography for Birdman and should win it

on the other films I want to see this year
"The Imitation Game"
"Gone Girl"
"American Sniper"

also if you haven't seen it yet Tim, go and watch "The Grand Budapest Hotel", if it wasn't released during the early year it would be getting massive oscar buzz

and yes I'm massively excited for foxcatcher i've been waiting to watch it for months for to come out, Steve Carell, Mark Ruffalo and Channing Tatum are all meant to be superb in it!

Already saw it in the spring. Thought it was pretty good but I think it was a bit overhyped, as tends to be the case with a lot of Wes Anderson movies.

If anyone wants to get more hyped for Foxcatcher, Carrell gives a great turn as villain in The Way Way Back, which is a coming of age film that was released last year. It's one of the first times I've liked him in anything, because his comedy doesn't appeal to me, but he was very effective in that role. Damn good film too.

There's loads of films I want to see at the moment. I'm going to see Nightcrawler tonight. I really want to see Birdman but frustratingly, it's only being released here in January. Gone Girl is getting rave reviews, and I feel like it could end up being one of my favourite Fincher films. Foxcatcher looks like it could be good. On the animated front Big Hero 6 and The Book of Life both look potentially interesting. Hunger Games is one of the few big blockbuster franchises I'm still enjoying.

I'm never going to manage to see half of these before they're out of the cinema, but it's great to have this kind of choice. This year has been so much better than last year for new releases. I've probably already gone to the cinema three times more in 2014 than in 2013.

I have been looking forward to this movie since I first saw the trailer a while back. It looks really interesting and Steve Carell looks like he is playing a completely different character to what we are used to seeing from him. Can't wait.

He looks like he really disappeared into the role. He's gained weight and looks totally different, especially in the close-up shots. It'll be really interesting seeing him in a chilling/creepy role.

Im extremley excited for Foxcatcher. One film none of you have mentioned in this thread yet is Whiplash. I watched it last night and it was fantastic. I urge you all to go see it as soon as possible. J.K Simmons is fantastic in it and should definatley be nomminated, if not win, best supporting actor. Miles Teller was also great. All around awesome film, my favorite of 2014 so far.

Other films I want to see this year are Birdman(will probably see Friday), Nightcrawler, American Sniper and I still need to see Gone Girl.

I give my seal of approval to Nightcrawler. It's an interesting film for sure. It reminded me a little of Drive, so any fans of that film should definitely think about checking it out.
