I hate that we're still using that stupid concept in our movies and television shows. It's been completely debunked. It's not true that we only use 10% of our brain. Lucy annoys me particularly because this lie is stated outright on the poster, making it seem less like silly movie logic and more like a legitimate fact that is being perverted in the film itself.

Also, it just looks like a bad film in general.

Well yeah, obviously that part is bullshit. But the poster (and film in general) are acting like this is a piece of fantasy which has been derived from a genuine scientific fact. And it's not a fact, it's just some bullshit someone made up once that happened to stick around as a piece of false trivia.

It is so inaccurate it sickens me. And it's one thing if it's a science fiction film, it can be fictional, make up its own bullshit science. But when the film portrays Morgan Freeman as one of the world's leading neuroscientists, spewing completely false crap, the audience is actually going to believe it. Enough people already believe the 10% myth, and the film just made it worse. Let alone how inaccurate every single sentence he said in the beginning of the film was.

Nothing about that film made any sense. The film tried so hard to be deep and failed on every level. There's no good reason for it to anger me, but it does. Fuck Lucy.
