Floyd Mayweather v Conor McGregor

Postby AkydefGoldberg » May 06, '16, 8:00 am

It's Twitter BS but still fun to imagine.

Who wins?

Mayweather for me.

But this sounds like Floyd's getting his name out in preparation for a return to become 50-0 which he has just completed some trademark requests linked to that. If Khan beats Canelo then Mayweather-Khan, you woud think, if he wants to return becomes a strong possibility than a fight with McGregor. Floyd would emigrate if he lost!

It'd depend on which of their sports the fight was contested under surely?

Boxing match - Mayweather would win
MMA match - McGregor would win

Won't happen, McGregor is just trying to get under the UFC's skin.

Floyd clowns him in a boxing ring though.

Why would McGregor agree to this though, what does he have to gain? Other than a huge bank account increase? He lost his last fight, then he wants to box Mayweather and certainly lose again? At some point losing is going to hurt his brand. I just don't see this happening.

It's a win-win situation for him. Win and it's the most incredible bragging rights over Mayweather and only adds to his image. Lose, he pockets alot of money, and because it might not be authorised as an official match I imagine, he can go back to UFC unless he suffered a first round KO which seems unlikely.
