I fucking love the Diaz bros. They just don't give a fuck.

Nate's boxing was superb. From the gun, McGregor was throwing some really wild punches. He settled down during late first round and really started landing some shots. It was looking like McGregor would at least win a decision (I never thought McGregor had a shot at KOing Diaz). Diaz had some beautiful jabs in the first round though. His boxing looked a lot crisper and that came fruition in the second. Good placement of shots and that left hook behind the jab was the beginning of the end. As soon as McGregor wobbled, Nate's hands went up in typical Diaz fashion. When McGregor looked for the shoot, it was over then. Great transitions from Nate. Good ground and pound. Fantastic punch to set up the RNC. It was fantastic. Like Diaz said in his post fight, he'd have a lot more knockouts if people didn't become wrestlers when he started throwing punches.

Tate/Holm was fantastic too. It wasn't full of action but when Miesha had Holm down, it was the most exciting parts of the fight. Thought for sure Holm was going to get that flip but Tate had that single hook and that was enough. Both fights had me sitting on the edge of my chair. Great night.

"I'm not surprised, motherfuckers!" Quote of the night.

Man, that was a tough watch. Conor clearly took the first and at that point I thought he'd be smart and get the decision victory but it wasn't to be. Hats off to Nate though, he found his jab in the second and utilised it superbly; rocking McGregor, making him panic and ultimately get the big win.

I can't help but feel Conor had this coming. Since the opponent change he never seemed to take Diaz seriously and was already giving interviews about potentially facing Lawler at UFC 200; I also think he seemed shaken by Nate in the build-up, we've never seen McGregor so emotional and he looked nervous at the weigh-ins following his stint at the presser (sort of how Aldo didn't seem to want any of Conor at 194). Hated the walk-out song change as well ("I am a God", come on now bro) - hopefully this serves as a reality check, a blip in the road.

Delighted for Miesha as well, was pulling for her to get the win and I'm glad she managed it. Rough night for the UFC with the Conor/Lawler fight now off the table and plans for the Ronda/Holm rematch derailed. Good week on the whole though; Jon Jones was hilarious mugging DC off in the presser, Cruz/Faber should be a fun ride and I've never seen Joanna look so ready to throw down.

McGregor/Aldo rematch at 200? Couldn't help but laugh at Aldo's pathetic 'pussy' dig at McGregor after the fight, no respect for someone kicking a man whilst he's down. He may have lost but at least Conor turns up every time regardless of opponent!

Really glad for Miesha. Unfortunately Rousey will come back and beat her for the belt now and probably retire afterwards. It should really be Rousey vs Holm 2 to settle the next contender for the belt, but UFC want those buyrates and knows Ronda brings in the casuals.

Gutted for McGregor. 170 seemed too much of a jump up, even though he looked far healthier at the weigh ins. He's not a welterweight and should never have tried to masquerade as one.

I hope he fucking destroys Aldo again though, as he's being a proper bitch about the loss. He's calling McGregor a pussy, saying he's running away from him, all of this shite. He got destroyed in 13 seconds, he needs to fuck off and understand that Edgar deserves it far more than him.

McGregor was obviously the bigger draw, but the loss to Holm is probably worse news for UFC. McGregor is going to be a star until he picks up a few losses, his mouth will keep people talking about him. With Holm it was really the big win over Rousey that turned her into someone who could make money for the company. Now that she has lost, people are probably going to forget about her to a certain extent.

Probably not the results that Dana was looking for, but at least the show will have people talking.
