I was merely stating how it could be done, btw. I'm not in favor of a NSFW section myself, but I've seen people here several times post pictures of bare nekkid ladies concealed only by spoiler tags. Even the post about the news station that accidentally showed a shlong can get the site into trouble if we don't somehow restrict imagery like that because any little 12 year old could register, log in, and view it right off the bat.

To add to that you could make a little toggle option when creating a topic that would liable it as nsfw, allowing only those who agree to the disclaimer access to the topic in question.

Now I say this could all be done easily, but what the fuck do I know about forum codeing, haha, sounds easy though

Internet laws are a bit more restrictive than that. After years of doing these things the easiest way I've found is making it 18 or older to enter, denying anyone that puts their birthday any younger than that. That's probably what I need to do but there are good members who are between 14 and 18 and while we could grandfather current members in relatively safely, I wouldn't want to discourage other possible good 14-17 year olds who might be fantastic mature members. Sure, they can lie about their age, but a lot of people just turn away when they see the "You must be 18 or older" to enter because it always looks smutty.

Anyways, we've got quite a ways to really worry about that. Probably.

Haha, I understand what you are saying. My theory behind it was to leave the forum open to all ages while providing a 18+ variation. Same idea as yours with the I.d. thing and having a sub forum with limited access but eliminating the "photocopy your I.d." thing and instead of having a sub forum, have the topics selected only viewable to those over 18 members
