Welcome Box - opinions?

So, we've been wanting to do something with the top of the Index page for a while and you should all see a new addition at the top of it, a welcome box.

What are your thoughts on it?

I like it. Locke, is there any way we can add a REGISTER link to it specifically for guests? That might be cool.

I agree about the register part. The register button should be big and obvious as to attract new members.

Looks good so far there nothing to complain plus I like how they give me information about how many days I been on this site which kind of cool too.

Also wondering are there going to be stars like WWE-Club for the years of service for each member on this site. I know it will not work now since no one been here for a year yet.

We tried to add a mod for years of service stars when we were building the board, but it nearly broke the forum and caused way too much of a headache. If we can figure out a way to do it that actually works, I think it'd be a cool idea for the future!

^Actually I think there's a yearly star mod added now. It just won't show anything until we've all been here a year. There's no way to edit the forum's "birthdate" so that's what it goes by. :)
