Introducing the new Pubtalkforum home page

As you probably saw in my announcement from the other day, we've been working on a brand new home page. As of about five minutes ago, http://www.pubtalkforum.com now points to that new page. Check it out!

There is still some tinkering to be done here and there (some colors, looking for features, etc.), but the bulk of the work is done. Feel free to offer suggestions.

Looks awesome, the only gripe I have is the yellow font. It is a bit hard to read over the white arm. Other than that it looks great

Yeah, trying to figure out a way to do a drop shadow. If I can't figure that out, I'll just move the Rodgers image over to the right a bit.

If a drop shadow does not work maybe a slightly darker shade outer glow, a outline or just a darker font for so it contrasts more.

I may not be a Photoshop master like you but one thing I do know is font clarity is at the top of the list for web design.

You and Locke are doing phenomenal things with this place so I know it will be perfect when its stamped done

I'd agree we should put one of the Seahawks up there. That and Jeter since this is his last season. An maybe Mayweather to represent Boxing. Buit Jeter for sure.

We don't have a whole lot of boxing or baseball discussion here, I chose football/soccer/wrasslin because those are the three most represented fanbases on here. Any more and it'd start to get cluttered.

Good news!

Ever since the launch of the home page, our search engine rankings have increased dramatically. We still don't exactly have great rankings yet, but we're already seeing some vast improvement. To give you an example: we are now on the 4th page of Google for the keyword "WWE message board," whereas at this time last week we weren't even in the top 15 pages.

The more you guys post (particularly new topics), the better these rankings will get, especially if we continue to update the home page with new featured posts on a regular basis.

So that being said, keep creating new topics and posting away -- we're making progress!
