Are there really people that hate having an avatar?

Honestly something that annoys me a little is people who refuse to use an avatar. Are they really that bad?
Some of the people who don't have avatars causes the layout to be a bit odd looking in the thread list. Avatars also help me identify a user straight away without their name, and it fills the "user content" side on the right a bit better.

Is it really so bad to have an avatar? If not, please add one if you haven't already

Send me your avatar or something and I'll manually add it and see if it doesn't fix your issue.
