Question

When is considered "to late" in terms of age to see if you got a shot of being a wrestler? I like to dream big and think WWE but realistically I could see myself in the tristate area "promotions". I know Chase Stevens' since hes from Washington, the town I live in. I've had some chats with him and he mentioned a friend of his that's trained both Orton and Cena. He said that guy could direct me further if I choose to chase it.

Pros
Im in decent shape
Lift weights
'Been in front of large(bodybuilding shows)
Competed in powerlifting all over States
Wrestled from 8th grade on up(school)

Cons
Wear hearings(not 24/7)
Tiny bit timid up front
Not the greatest talker
24

I've been considering it but I just dont know. Im not really financially set either. Opinions?

From what I gather from many others who have attempted to make go of it, make sure you are committed. It can't just be a fun activity or a nice hobby. You have to really want to make it a lifestyle. Granted, that is only if you are looking to advance. If you just like the idea of doing some local shows now and again, then you wouldn't have to make it as much of a lifestyle. I also don't think there really is a set age to begin training. Granted most wrestlers hit their prime in their mid-30s.

Against all odds, Alan Rickman got his first movie role when he was in his 40s. And it was in motherfucking Die Hard, as one of cinema's most iconic villains. Today of all days, don't write yourself off as being too old to do something that you're passionate about.

If you really want it, I'd say you have as good a chance as anybody. Many talents don't get 'discovered' in their chosen fields until they're on the older side. Starting young is handy but if you're good you can never be to old really (within reason of course, and I don't think 24 is too old at all).

Day 1, he'll already have a better dropkick than Cena.

Don't go into it thinking you're going to be the next Rock, treat it as a hobby on the side to begin with, then see how things progress in the future. If you get more opportunities with it and a chance to make some money then great. If it doesn't go to plan then at least you'll have probably made some new friends and had some fun along the way.
