12 days til Thanksgiving!!

It's definitely my favorite holiday of the year.

What's usually in your Thanksgiving spread? What are you doing for the holiday this year?

What I'll be doing is the same as every year. I'll start the day at one of my mom's sister's house for my mom's side of the family. We'll do a deep fried turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, some veggie casseroles, etc. Then I'll go to my parents' house for my dad's side of the family. Much of the same fare there. For both places my mom will make desserts, which will include traditional pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, cranberry cheesecake and a nut roll. I will throoughly enjoy a piece of each dessert at some point during the day between the two dinners. I will then promptly not eat again until Christmas' Eve.

I'm actually doing Thanksgiving this year, weirdly enough. It's my wedding two days later, so our American family is flying in a few days before. So while they're here we're going to be having a Thanksgiving dinner. Should be pretty cool. I'll take any excuse to eat copious amounts of turkey.

It's a pretty common occurrence really. I've got my dad's side, mom's side, and then stepdad's side.
