Worst relationship breakup?

I've had a few bad ones, but the worst I've heard belongs to my mate:

He worked in a big department store here in the UK. He worked alongside a girl who we'll call Anna, and was good mates with his manager, John. After a while, he starts seeing this girl called Anna and she moves into his flat after about five months. Things were pretty sweet for him.

Anna begins seeing his manager, John, behind his back. John is married but is in a crisis with his wife - they'd initially planned to have children but told his wife he'd changed his mind. His wife was distraught, and this put a considerable strain on the marriage. This is when the affair with Anna begins - behind his wife's back, and behind my friend's back - even though my friend lived with Anna and worked with both her and John on a daily basis.

Anna falls pregnant. Having no idea about her secret affair, my mate shits himself, despite having used regular protection with her. Anna doesn't mention anything about the affair, probably due to the severity of the situation - it was John, my friend's manager, who had gotten her pregnant - weeks after informing his wife he doesn't want children.

After about a month (by this point my friend is loaded up on anti-anxiety tablets, had lost a considerable amount of weight and had barely been sleeping) Anna breaks down and owns up to the affair. She says she's almost completely sure the baby is John's. My friend kicks her out the flat and she shows up on John's doorstep later that night, and tells John's wife what had gone down. I don't know any of the details of this part, but it can't have been pretty.

Anna gave birth about 5 months ago. It's definitely John's, as John demanded a DNA test. John and his wife got divorced, and John quit his job. Apparently he has nothing to do with the kid - never sends money, never visits, or anything like that. My friend also quit his job shortly after.

So... anyone got any bad ones?

When I was in high school I broke my leg. Was in a wheelchair for quite a while after that. Girlfriend though that was the perfect timing to break up with me. Cunt.

It's not quite as bad as ruining marriages, secret affairs and illegitimate children, but it'll certainly knock a teenage boys confidence.
