Ever meet any celebrities?

I met Shawn Michaels once at a grocery store in my home town, he was there signing autographs because RAW was in town. Otherwise I'm having a hard time trying to think of any real celebrity encounters I've had.

Most famous one for me was a Pakistani ex-cricketer who was in my home town in a shopping complex, took a picture with him.

Other than that, I saw from a distance a female soap actor (Sophie from Coronation Street) in a car park but she hurried out and into her car but wasn't overly fussed about meeting her tbh.

I have meet many WWE wrestlers, hockey players and baseball players when the were in my hometown of Toronto.

I even won a contest here to have a private lunch with the Hart Dynasty. That was one awesome day.

I met Alice in Chains (the greatest band ever) at one of their concerts. They were playing, followed by Avenged Sevenfold, followed by Metallica. While Avenged Sevenfold were playing, we tried to leave because they're shit. And at the gate we met AIC who were doing the same thing.

Jerry Cantrell gave me his plectrum from the gig and took a picture with me. It was a freaking awesome moment.

Going to see them in Scotland in a few days, which will be my first time seeing them headline. It's going to be amazing.

I go to a lot of comic conventions, so I meet a lot of people there. I've bet Robert Englund (Freddy Kreuger), Brandon Routh (Superman in Superman Returns), Tara Strong (voice of many animated characters), and more.

I also met NBA player Chris Kaman in a restaurant where we were having dinner. That was cool.

I met a few guys at Baltimore Comic-con (hipster alert!!!!) but you've probably never heard of them if you are not into comics. My favorite person I met was George Perez. He created Deathstroke who is my favorite character. Really nice guy.

Oh I also met Terrell Ownes and have his autograph as well.

Don't know if anyone knows who Jonathen Groff is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Groff (He has a recurring character on "Glee" and a has a new show coming up called "Looking" where is to be the lead) but I went to highschool with him. Didn't know him well but ran into him a few times. Really nice guy.

I've met a lot of athletes.I used to work in the sports cards and comic book business back in the 90's, so I've met a lot of WWE, MLB, NFL, NHL, and NBA stars at autograph signings at shows and conventions. My favorite was Mick Foley. A friend and I met him at a sports card show in a VFW hall in Clifton, New Jersey in November 1998. The weather was really bad, so there wasn't much of a turnout, but Mick made it. We talked to him for an hour, and he even offered us pizza. What a cool, funny, intelligent, down to earth guy he is. We got his autograph, and he even signed Socko's while he was wearing him.

My grandmother met Mick Foley once. She knows nothing about wrestling, but she had a birthday party on in the hotel the TNA stars were staying in when they did their Irish tour about 3 years ago. He apparently walked in to say happy birthday to her and got a picture taken with her. When I saw that picture, it was the most random thing I ever could have imagined. There are no two people on earth that would seem less compatible in a picture together.

My grandmother met Mick Foley once. She knows nothing about wrestling, but she had a birthday party on in the hotel the TNA stars were staying in when they did their Irish tour about 3 years ago. He apparently walked in to say happy birthday to her and got a picture taken with her. When I saw that picture, it was the most random thing I ever could have imagined. There are no two people on earth that would seem less compatible in a picture together.

That is class as always by Mick Foley. Such a nice guy.

Did your grandma have the foggiest idea of who the fuck he was lol? I imagine an elderly person seeing Mick Foley striding into say happy birthday might be abit scary?

I met Hilary Clinton back in 2007. My cousin was a firefighter who died in 9/11, and my aunt became an extremely involved activist and voice for 9/11 victims after that. She hosts a lunch in the city every year on 9/11, and Clinton stopped by that year and ate with us. It was obviously just a political move. But she was a nice lady.

I also "met" Vince Gilligan this past year at the Museum of the Moving Image. I use quotes because I didn't really speak to him, he just stood three feet away from me and spoke in my general direction

He was the guy eating at the table that offers Justin Long a business card and says "You're a master of your craft, come work for me," and then Justin looks at the card and it ends up being a card for just another restaurant.

Anyway, he also directed some travelling stage play, and my town hired him for the Fourth of July entertainment. He came into my Barber Shop and I cut his hair, and he was talking about directing that play that had been all over the country, including Hollywood, and I was like "Funny you mention that, you look like a character in one of my favorite movies called 'Waiting'" and he said "Yep, that was me," and he gave me his card. And then I IMDB'd him when I got home, and sure the fuck 'nough it was him. Glad I finished his haircut before I figured that out, I woulda been so nervous.

No, but he explained it to her from what I know. And she thought some of the grandchildren would get a kick out of it, which was definitely the case.
