Do you remember your dreams?

Postby Str8Shooter » Jan 04, '15, 7:55 pm

Thought of this as a thread last night when I had some crazy vivid dream and then woke up and remembered most of it, then in like a few minutes most of it was gone, just certain parts were vaguely there. It's like that with most of my dreams.

So do any of you remember your dreams for a while or are they gone in a flash?

I usually do always remember them. Sometimes, I will wake up and I can't remember if something was a dream or not. Sometimes, I am well aware I am dreaming when actually in a dream. I have had some odd dreams before.

I've tended to remember dreams involving chicks I had a crush on and then thinking it actually meant something lol and inevitably it didn't!

I usually forget my dreams pretty quickly when I wake up, unless they were hilarious or weird in which case they stick with me.

A while back I had a dream that I was a police officer and I was called out to investigate a yacht. I got there, boarded the yacht and there were a load of people there with bags of cocaine. I attempted to negotiate with them to hand over the drugs, but they threw the drugs overboard and they were promptly eaten by sharks. I looked overboard and saw the sharks sloshing around, eating the bags of cocaine. I remember thinking to myself "Shit, man, these sharks are going to be high as fuck". I woke up shortly after.

Sometimes I remember them really vividly, sometimes only vaguely, other times not at all. Or I remember them first thing then an hour later I've forgotten it. There are some dreams I can remember from years and years ago, even though they seem quite irrelevant which I've always found odd. I sometimes have recurring dreams too, usually involving me driving and then not realizing the breaks or steering wheel stops working, I think it's stress/anxiety related. The one I have a lot lately usually involves me somehow forgetting I'm pregnant, or knowing I'm pregnant but not having control over my actions and then smoking/drinking excessively only to then remember I'm pregnant and hastily try to sober myself up :facepalm I even wake up feeling guilty sometimes even though it was just a dream, these ones tend to be the most realistic ones. I would like to start a dream diary at some point, It would be interesting to read back at some point.
