That is a bit of overkill, yes.

Ok, I'm not going to lie, I found that quite funny.

In principle though, sometimes extreme examples are needed to get messages across. I just wish they could've done it better than that.

Saw last night, I laughed my ass off. It was so over the top it was comical, which probably isn't what they were going for, but fuck is it memorable.

Yeah I've definitely seen better ads with a similar theme, this one goes a bit over the top IMO.

There was a great one from New Zealand that I saw, I'll see if I can dig that up.

Yeah, it's overkill but so many of these ads are. Irish television has been doing this for ages. I've seen some more graphic ads on road safety before, but this is probably the one with the highest body count. :lol

I don't think there's any need to go this far.

I'll also admit I thought it was funny. I thought it was for Callahan Auto Parts. Great break pads.

It's a tad OTT, though this is sad that Northern Ireland only seem to be famous for these ads.......

The ad would have been better if it were intended as a cautionary tale about teaching your kids voodoo.

I'm probably a terrible person but I laughed when watching this also. :lol

It's clearly fake, so I think if they could do it in more realistic fashion instead of going so over the top, it'd be more effective.

If you didn't yell STRIKE! when the car wiped them all out, you're not bloody human.

I laughed the first time then watched it again for another laugh....

I think Australia has the best traffic safety videos. I watched them in Drivers Ed and was pretty uncomfortable during them.

I think the same point would have been achieved if the actual crash video ended at the point were the camera showed the kids sitting and the car just coming threw the shrubs just beyond them. The actual crushing of the kids was a bit over the top and like said before, comical
