How many countries of the world can you name?

According to this quiz, there are 197 countries in the world. How many can you name? I set a goal for myself to name at least 100. I got 118. After the quiz ended, I noticed I missed out some really obvious ones. There are at least 20 more that I feel I should have got. Anyway, have go. See how you do.

That was my problem. Got 122 but wasted two minutes trying to spell Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

I looked up the ones I couldn't spell. I don't think its cheating. I knew the country. Just needed to figure out how the spell them.

Well that was frustrating. Ha ha. Couldn't spell Lithuania for anything, then I hit the enter button and it gave me all the answers before I was finished.

I named 140 of them, including all mighty Liechtenstein. But ya Africa and the Caribbean/Polynesian islands really kicked my ass. I was especially REALLY bad at Africa.

You're right. It's 'Murica. The apostrophe makes a difference.

Got exactly 100. Then I noticed that I had completely skipped a few areas on the map I kinda jumped all around instead of being focused on one contient

Aruba is part of the Netherlands(I think) and Greenland is part of Denmark just like how Martinique is part of France and Bermuda is territory of the UK.

Aruba and Curacao both should be countries. I should know, I've been there. They have their own currency and everything. *grumble*


The Netherlands Antilles was dissolved in 2010. Curacao is its own country now. Greenland is considered under Denmark?

Ya Greenland has been a part of Denmark for the last couple hundred years. Because of Greenland the Danes think they can lay claim to Hans Island while Canada also claims it.

I've done this a few times over the past couple of years, it's always a fun thing to do...

I got 138, the lesser known countries in Africa and the Caribbean always kill me and the fact that I always miss obvious ones through Europe and Asia.
