I'm glad to say I didn't get suckered into it. I was reminded about it today when I saw a car sporting half a Kony2012 bumper sticker. It looked like the other half had been ripped off.

It's amazing how so many people bought into that shit - they believed exactly what a youtube video told them and handed over money instantly. None of the 'Cover the Night' shit happened. The whole thing was a joke.

I didn't fall for it because I'm not a retarded delusional teenager. Like the fuck did the people think they could actually accomplish. That a warlord in Africa would see their disapproval and decide to change his ways. And Kony ain't even the only evil warlord. Africa has been full of them, is currently full of them and will continue to be filled with them for the foreseeable future.

I heard about it when the hysteria was at insane levels but I never bought into it. Luckily, concern about the whole thing came pretty quickly and as we can see, it's pretty much dead.

I think the organisers saw the opportunity to profit from what maybe a serious issue into a money-making and publicity scheme at the expense of people who may have been suffering.
