How often do you get a haircut?

I used to keep my hair genuinely short, so I'd go to the hairdresser maybe once every two months (I used to use the clippers). I'm letting it grow this time, so I'll probably only go to the hairdresser now once in every 4-5 months.

Also, how much does a trim usually cost where you live? A clipper job here is about $10, but a trim is around $17-20. Pretty expensive, really, considering how short it takes.

I'll cut my hair when it gets annoying. I usually just shave it all off, and since it's starting to get really damn hot, that's probably what I'll do this weekend. It's too much money to get a stylish haircut.

I normally get it cut when it gets difficult to style it, which is usually every month or so. It also depends on what I have on, if I know I have a night out coming and feel like I could do with a hair cut then I'll go and get one.

I pay £8 at the place I go but they have a loyalty scheme where after so many it's a half price cut and then so many more it's a free cut.

Well if I had my way I'd probably go once a year if that, I don't mind my hair long (to a point) as it's usually tied back most of the time anyway. But my mum insists on booking me in with our hairdresser every 3 months or so when she has hers done. I hate it, so I would happily avoid it for as long as possible, but I guess it's good for my hair so I go with it

Maybe once a year if that, I always jut use the clippers and take it as short as if will go without a razor. My wife like me to have hair once and a while so I will let it grow out once a year or so

It tends to depend on a couple variables though. Some people's hair just grows faster than others and depending on what style you have your hair I can see 3-4 weeks. I mean by the time I reach 5 weeks my hair has gotten pretty unmanagable.

I cut my hair once every two years and donate it when I do. I got a cut a few weeks ago and might stick with short hair though, I'm getting pretty tired of having hair in my face.

I never really thought how often. I just normally get my hair cut whenever it gets really long. However during the Winter months I don't cut my hair at all since it added warmth for going out side in the extreme cold

I'd say every 4-5 months. Not regular at all.

When I was younger, I'd do the normal short back and sides but my hair is fading from the top so don't want to keep it short so I just grow it long to the point where it looks big and I have no clue how to style my hair. I'll probably go for a buzzcut as summer is approaching but then let it grow for ages without cutting it. My barber costs about £8. I don't mind spending bit more extra because the normal barber I have is really nice and makes conversation.

Some people's hair just grows faster than others

Everyone always says this but it's such a wive's tale. Human hair grows a half-inch per month. Very -rarely- does it grow faster than that, and is usually involving a disorder with the keratin in the bloodstream (abnormal keratin or extra keratin) that causes other strange problems besides fast hair growth (usually skin problems and brittle finger nails). However, every customer I have, according to them they apparently have hair that grows faster than everyone elses.

People just *think* their hair grows faster than others, when it really doesn't, and if it does (unless a rarity) it's such a small fraction it's under a half of a millimeter.

Hair also does not continue growing for a short while after death, despite what some people say.

I agree with you though that it can vary on hairstyle you keep. We have many military customers and they need their haircut once every 4 weeks. However, there are the extremes of those cases, too, where a military guy will come in on a Tuesday and the -very following- Saturday be in again. That's four days. There's -nothing- to do but pretend to cut hair. I can't complain much, because those guys are spending 50 bucks a week with us, but I still find it ridiculous. We're pretty up to snuff on our "military haircut regulations" and there's nothing that says they have to have their haircut that often. The hair just can't be touching the ears. Only bootcampers have to shave their heads.

Every 8 weeks or thereabouts. I hate having long hair. My hair is very thick, so it starts looking a bit wild if I don't cut it regularly. I tried to grow it long once when I was about 18, but I was developing a bit of an afro after a while, so I called it quits.

Probably about every 3-4 months. I don't like it when it starts to look really scruffy. Plus, my hairline is receding, so it looks better when I keep it short.
