Do you recycle?

I do when I can - although my housemates never do. Everything usually goes in the same bin, whether it can be recycled or not. It's something I definitely want to start doing when I finish uni though.

So, which of you lot can honestly say they do their bit for the environment?

Yep, but in the laziest ways - we just have a recycling skip in our complex, and a double slot bin. Easy-peasy.

Yeah, I've got two separate bins in my apartment, one for trash and one for recycling. Then there are also separate dumpsters at my complex for each.

Definitely. All my garden waste is in the green bin and I'm very keen to recycle cardboard etc so when I see the cardboard erroneously put into the black bin, I pluck it out and dump into its right place. Sad, I know.

I like recycling. I think I can either shove all this cardboard into the black bin where it'll take up space (black ones are collected fort-nightly) or I can recycle it and save space. Latter option wins. It has got to the point where I question people who don't recycle alot when they clearly could do with it considering their over-filling bins!

Yep I recycle bottles, cans, and cardboard. Paper though I never seemed to catch onto since it flies away so easily.

Yes, the city comes to collect 2 a month to pick it up so I do it good for the environment.

Yes, I recycle, but it saddens me that so many people I run into don't. I'm a sustainability major which is basically environmental science/business so I very much care about preserving the environment, and one of the ways to do that is not buy plastic bottles in the first place, or at the very least, have the decency to recycle it. So I just use a reusable bottle. As for cardboard and paper my town has certain days a month where they pick up that stuff so I make sure it's all set.

People who don't recycle are douchenozzles. Like I legitimately think they are an asshole even if they may be the nicest person on the planet. I recycle everything I can and used to compost stuff when I lived at a house. Like it's such a simple thing to do and every little bit helps. There's really no reason to not recycle. At my apartment I have to go down and out of the building to the big recycle dumpster but it's really no hassle. I normally use a blue bag but if I have any pizza boxes I'll try and squeeze as much into them as I can and toss them in the recycle bin like that. And when I lived at my old house I used to just put it out on garbage day and the city deals with it.

Yes I do. Separate bins at home. If I am at a place without recycling bins, I will take my cans, bottles, etc with me so I can recycle them at home. Also I recycle plastic bag. Load up a trash can with them then when it fills up I out them out.

Yeah, got instilled in me at a young age. My parents always recycled and of course I realize it's important.

I'm very efficient with my recycling. I hated doing it at first but now it's just second nature I guess.

Yeah I recycle, always have. It takes 2 seconds to put certain items in specific bins - to not take those 2 seconds is lazy as hell.

Yup, we have seperate bins for food waste, general trash, paper and then plastic/glass. Also always try to re-use any carrier bags I get (If I've forgotten my trusty bags for life).

Bloody annoying when fellow housemates don't follow suit though, it's pretty much the only legit argument I've had with any of them
