Don't worry, that would bother me as well. You should put some sort of screaming fireworks in the bin, somehow triggered by the opening of the lid - that will teach him.

My housemates are awful with bins, and it does my head in. I've got two housemates who literally eat rice for every meal of the day, but will always cook more than they need. If the bin is full, you can bet that the leftover rice is going in the recycling. Probably along with some spaghetti as well, because why not. A couple of slices of burnt toast sitting on top as well, just for good measure.

Meanwhile, you can be sure to find newspaper and cardboard in the food waste bin!

It's alright, cheers. I'm slowly starting to settle in. I don't see myself here forever though.

My job is quite stressful (as are my housemates) and it's a bit lonely at times, but that's to be expected when moving to a new place where you don't know anyone. I have family in Wimbledon which is fairly nearby, so I've got people to rely on should I need them.

The weekends are the hardest part in many ways, but I'm keeping myself occupied. I've joined the local library and I'm set to do a beginner's plumbing course at a local college which runs on Saturdays. I cycled up to Richmond Park last weekend, which if you ever find yourself in the area, make sure to check out - it's home to wild deer and parrots, and there's a couple of good pubs nearby.

All in all, not too bad. I'm gone once something better comes up though!

Looks like Brucie is on his way out. People have been saying it's his "final year" for about 5 years but it seems like he might not make it through 2017, sadly.

With the rate I'm calling in Gregg's at the moment, I might not make it through 2017 either.

So that fucktard Osborne will work four days a week as an editor for the Evening Standard despite having no clear journalism history and wants to carry on as an MP. Absolutely farce and it's the sort of action I wouldn't respect to be allowed in this country.

A kick in the guts for journalists at the paper who might be experiencing difficult conditions and who might have had aspirations to become an editor. Lebedev and Osborne have met regularly and have a close relationship but it's bollocks.

Why is it the most reviled people (Farage, Cameron, May, Osborne) seem to make decisions that affect the majority yet they live their lives as normal without consequence?!

Anyone have any experience of paying energy bills monthly? We're set up for quarterly atm but looking to sort the finance out monthly but reading online, difficult to judge whether it provides a saving or not..

Fucking root canal treatment - that's what's coming my way next week.

Worringly, I've had swelling on my face with the toothache I had over the weekend. Really impressed by my dentists calling Sunday evening to book me in first thing Monday morning to remove a filling and apply a cloves smelling temporary filling.

90min for a root canal - pray for me..

I'm off for a wisdom tooth taking out next month. Need to be sedated for it. Grim.

I had mine taken out 6-7 years ago, it needed to tbf as it was on its last legs (or should that be roots?) but if I end up taking this tooth on the upper side of my jaw, that'll be two down and predicting old age without many - or any - teeth!

I got a wisdom tooth out before and wasn't sedated for it. Just given the usual injection. It wasn't too bad in the end either, I had definitely built it up in my head as being a lot worse than it ended up being. The area was a bit sore for the next day, but regular painkillers sorted it out just fine.

Hope the root canal treatment goes well, Aky. Thankfully I've yet to suffer through one.

I'm sweating so much in this heat Jesus Christ. It's like I've got a hosepipe underneath each armpit.

Right? Being cooped up in the office on a day like today was freaking torture.

We live in a top story apartment with high ceilings and one wall is all window - on the side facing the sun as it goes down. So on a day like today, our place is like an oven after work. All doors and windows get left open and I'm still sweating buckets.

Still though, it makes a nice change to get a bit of sunshine. We went out to a beer garden for a few drinks on a whim yesterday evening, despite having work today. You have to take advantage of the weather when it comes around.

And typical this weather makes an appearance just as I start fasting tomorrow...

And if you think an office leaves you drenched, try sitting on a train at 5pm that's busy and you're dripping buckets!

Also, Katie Hopkins is sacked by LBC. Although they typically make out it's a mutual decision.

About fucking time.

My dad is a massive Courteeners fan and goes to a lot of their gigs. He's 53 so he's probably the oldest guy in the room but he doesn't give a fuck.

As I'm fasting, I thought I'd give porridge a try (never had it) as it digests slowly so helps in days like these.

Had it plain and disliked it, bland as paint. So in my desperation, I put in a few strawberries but that didn't help.

Advised to try banana slices and a dash of brown sugar so if anyone has any toppings that are healthy and delicious, let me know

I don't actually mind it plain, it feels a bit like prison food though.

Blueberries and porridge are a good pairing. Try chucking a handful of them in and mixing it up.
