Can't wait to play with the smaller lego sets with my son some day. :) He's too little right now so he uses the giant blocky ones. Can't make nuffink cool with that, though.

He helped me threwout the whole thing, first time I seen him focus his attention for that long on one thing. He was super excited about it when it was done and he could play with it. Then about 4 mins later he was asleep on the kitchen floor mid playing.

Make stupid looking houses and imitation guns as long as you can, once you get promoted to the small Lego's your never going back and you are stuck with having 15 different Lego kits all mixed together and a book to build a damn race car that is missing 3 pages but you attempt to build it anyways cause he wants you to.

That's what I did as a kid (but my dad didn't help me) and I loved it, so I'll love doing it again.

You sir are an awesome dad I remember how happy i was when me and my step dad built a Spiderman 2 lego set when i was about 7. It took so long to buld but i played with it so much after. While the process of building can be long and annoying, the finished product and the fun and joy it brings makes it so worth it.
