Porn in relationships

^ what kind of man chooses porn over the real thing? No offense intended just wondering what his motivation would be and why pass up the real deal to watch the same thing on a screen.

Could be some degree of porn addiction, which can really play havoc on relationships. I only heard that this was even a thing relatively recently, but apparently a bunch of people suffer from it. They can't prevent themselves from watching porn, they stop being aroused by regular sexual scenarios and their sex drive can really suffer. In circumstances like that, if the partner is upset, I think that's completely warranted.

My partner is perfectly fine with the idea of porn. She thinks most of it out there is kinda crap and doesn't understand how people get turned on by it (which is a point of view I can understand), but she has no problem with the good stuff. But then, I'd never choose it over the real thing.

When I was fairly young, during a time when I had pictures of half naked celebrities plastered all over my bedroom wall. This girl I was kind of seeing got annoyed because I had these pictures. She said if we were dating then she should be the only girl I was attracted too. I mean, you gotta be pretty insecure to be jealous of harmless pics of celebrities. So I can't imagine that she would have ever been fond of me watching porn.

One girlfriend though had admitted to frequently watching porn, which I admit was a bit of a turn on. I think it's harmless and if it's something that two people can share in a relationship, then even better. If you have a girlfriend though and knew you would be getting the real thing, then porn seems a bit unnecessary. As no one watches porn for the story lines.

My wife is one of those "I think it's cheating" types, and discourages it. On the other hand, she knows what I like and makes sure to make the bedroom interesting enough to where I don't need to watch it. She won't watch it, and it's not exactly something I bring up in random conversation to find out why.
