You're no less of a man for turning down sex, that's ridiculous. If anything it makes you more of a man for having the maturity to walk away if you're not feeling comfortable with it.

As for why you said no, I mean I have no idea, you're the only one who can really answer that. Maybe you just weren't into the chick, maybe you were anxious, maybe you just weren't in the mood, idk. But you should never have the feeling that you have to have sex with every willing chick just because the opportunity is open.

I'm not sure what your situation was exactly, but I've turned down sex in the past just because I'm not the kind of person who's comfortable with one night stands. I have to be somewhat intimate with the person to really consider it. If a girl who I barely know throws herself at me, I start to get a little worried about what kind of person she is, etc.

That might make me a bit weird, but it's part of my personality that I've never had a problem with. And its an issue that'll probably never arise again now that I'm in a serious long term relationship.
