What were some of the biggest scandals to happen in your school growing up?

Middle school principal knocked up the German teacher, they were both married. She had his twins.

We had something similar at my junior school - the headteacher was one of the kindest and most respected men in the local community and a stout Christian (imagine a charismatic, cool version of Ned Flanders. It's difficult, I know) and it wound up he was having a several year-long affair with the librarian. It came out as her visa was expiring (she was Ecuadorian and was faced with returning there) so she tried to persuade him to divorce his wife and marry her so she could stay in the country, or so the story goes. Of course, Flanders says no, and the librarian spills the beans.

It was such a shock when it all surfaced - he was the last man you'd expect to do such a thing. It shook the whole school and local community. Flanders resigned in disgrace and wound up moving to Missouri I believe. Somewhat ironically, Ecuadorian Librarian lady never ended up leaving the country - I still see her around.

Besides the odd teacher relationship, my last two years of comprehensive school were riddled by an unnecessary race feud between white and Asian students.

It all started with two students of the opposite race, simply not getting on and then it transferred into a wider feud.

Most notable aspect was the school getting in the paper when one Asian lad, in his attempt to get his older goons (they were in their mid-twenties) to beat up this white kid (he was abit of a dick but not worth wasting time on) and it resulted in a scene outside the school gates, on a busy road, with these goons even attacking the teachers and a riotous scene!

I was gutted I missed it all. I was at home. I was "ill".
