Honestly, it was probably in the Gaeltacht, in Ireland. As a kid, I definitely didn't feel ok with the idea of everyone talking in Irish only. Luckily, none of the rest of the group did either. :P Sure, weren't we all only there for the shift!

As an adult, I've been fine with all the travel I've done - different languages/cultures are fine once I see them coming!

Nothing too extreme, but I went to Disneyland in Orlando when I was like 12. I didn't realise that a large coke in America is basically a bucket. Also the cheeseburgers was like the size of frisbees. It was really surreal, awesome though.

Probably when I first went to Italy (or I should say, the first time I went when I was old enough to remember) to visit my family. There is a huge Italian community here in my town but it is absolutely nothing like it is over there. Especially in the village my dad grew up in. I know it sounds cliche, but everyone knew each other. They treat you like royalty when they realize you are visiting from another country. There is no penalty or charging for parking. People can just drive and park anywhere and no one would mind because people would normally know who the car belonged to. It was like nothing I had ever seen.

Where are you getting your cheeseburgers at? Certainly no place I've visited.
