Mock it all you want, much like a full moon, it somehow effects the general public.

For example, as a barber, today I have noticed:

A male beating his wife and being arrested by a cop in front of the pawn shop next door (just after getting about 15 inches of his matty, nasty, unwashed hair cut off).

An old man threw up on the sidewalk in front of the shop.

One of my dad's customers shit his pants while he was in my dad's chair getting his haircut.

We usually get 2-10 "new customers" in a week, sometimes less or none. Today nearly 2/3 of our clients have been "new" (and they all look like aliens dressed in human skin trying to pretend to be human - they're that weird looking and acting), so that's over 20 customers "new" already in one day and the day has a good 5 hours left.
