Since it now looks like I can claim children as an achievement :P

I consider my achievements the fact that I have 3 boys all under the age of 3. And that I some how con-ed @Shaneofan into marrying me only 4 years ago.

That does sound objectively terrifying. Probably pretty cute too, but still - the fear.

Well done on that to both of you! ("That" being extreme bravery in the face of seemingly inevitable defeat.)

For some reason I don't take much personal pride in my own college degree. I realize it's a big accomplishment objectively and that I worked hard for it, but it doesn't really have as much meaning to me as the same degree would to a lot of other people I guess.

So I dunno. I don't really have any specific accomplishments that I'm incredibly proud of. I guess in high school, one cool thing I did was become the first person in school history to compete in the maximum of ten categories at the music Solo and Ensemble, get the marks to take all ten to the state level, and then receive top marks in all ten at state. I did it in the following categories:

-Saxophone solo (jazz improvisation)
-Saxophone quartet
-Saxophone ensemble
-Woodwind ensemble
-Jazz ensemble
-*Vocal solo (classical)
-*Vocal solo (musical theater)
-Barbershop quartet
-Vocal Jazz ensemble
-Madrigal ensemble

In two of these (starred) I received Exemplary Soloist awards from the state, the highest honor a high school student can receive int he Solo and Ensemble competition in Wisconsin.

So yeah I guess if I had to name one, that'd be my pick. It was a pretty cool moment and it also got me some awards from my school/scholarships as a result.

Passing preliminary exams; however, I severely erred, as I should have visited one of the many bars within my 5 mile radius during that week to decompress. Maybe I would have written a page-turner if I would have indulged. I'm sure the graders were chugging something pretty hard to deal with me for 90+ pages.

Sadly, these papers still need revision. I am in a "two-year-old throwing a tantrum" phase and in avoidance to begin working on this endeavor again :chug3 :chug :chug2
