Seasonal Beers

I have fallen victim to the Seasonal Beer Trap. You know how it is, you find a new beer that you just LOVE and then what happens? BAM! It is out of season! So I have been buying Sam Adams Cold Snap everywhere I see it lately.... I think I just bought the last this entire city has to offer..

What is your favorite seasonal beer? How great of a marketing campaign do you think it is to do this? I mean, I probably could have gone a few weeks without buying any beer but ... It's COLD SNAP! It may be my last chance for a WHOLE YEAR!

....yeah...I guess I am a victim to capitalism and marketing...

There are some really great pumpkin beers in the fall. I'm particularly a fan of Pumking and Warlock by Southern Tier. Absolutely divine.

Typically I'm a person who says "don't fruit the beer," but I'll be damned if Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy isn't fucking delicious. Tastes like lemonade.

I'm sure I'll have some others to add to this topic later!

Great Lakes Christmas Ale is fantastic and basically impossible to find, even when in season because it sells out each time a store gets a shipment in less than a day (costs 12 dollars for a six pack too). Summer Shandy is a good call in the summer, but for summer Shock Top has a new beer called Honey Bourbon Cask Wheat that is fantastic.

Gotta say I'm not interested in the pumpkin beers in the fall. If I go seasonal in the fall it's a cider.
