I spend quite alot of time on the internet, maybe abit too much but a chunk of that time is probably on forums.
I seem to have a routine of web browsing. I check my e-mails first, then catch up on the sports, national and international news on the BBC/Sky Sports websites, then check the forums (I view this and another student forum I visit regularly and used to have another one that I checked out that died recently), then some Facebook/Twitter checks.
That order has been changed admittedly lol. But if I didn't go onto forums, I'd probably say I'd spend it more reading online and playing games or something.
I can't say I regret joining forums tbh - they're a great place to engage, debate, discuss etc and 'meet' sound people. And provides funnier moments (and weirdos) at the same time.
Discuss.
