This is a really tough one to call actually, which I appreciate. You could say Styles has a fuckton of momentum after Summerslam and they should strike while he's hot, but it also feels like Ambrose's reign is rolling along nicely and he should hold the belt longer to establish himself more. I think AJ will be champ sooner than later, but it won't be at Backlash. Given that AJ got the last laugh on Smackown, I'm gonna go with The Dean to surprise Styles here, and then have these two go a rematch at the next PPV.

Fuckin Bray Wyatt feuds man. I can never tell if they want to give him push #234 and hope it works out this time, somehow, or use him to put someone else over. I don't want Bray to go over here because 1) it will lead to nothing again, and 2) Randy was SO HOT before he got fucking squashed by Barack Lesnar at Summerslam; they should really try to salvage what he had and get his momentum back. I'm gonna go with Snek via RKO Outta Somewhere.

I'm really glad that The Usos got a character change. I always felt they were solid in the ring and on the mic and got a bad rap because they fell into the "happy guy goes out there and does the same thing every week for 3 years" shtick. Usos seem like an obvious pick here. I mean their opponents are a guy named MOJO and Zack Ryder for fuck's sake.

Styles is white hot right now is killing it in the ring and as a character. Now is the time to strike while the iron is hot here. They always love having heel champs and the faces chasing anyway. If AJ wins you have an Ambrose rematch, Orton, and Cena waiting in the wings.

I think they feel bad about Randy getting squashed by Brock and bloodied, they'll try and get him some momentum back here. Plus we know the drill, Bray puts over the bigger names and always has.

I like Ambrose as champion but AJ Styles has been the best thing in WWE lately, especially since his heel turn. He got the big win over John Cena at Summerslam. I think it's time to give him the title.

I know Orton needs a win here, especially coming off that Summerslam loss. But I think Bray Wyatt needs it more. If they want to push him as one of the brands top heesl, he needs to pick up some big wins.

I really like what they have done with Slater since the brand split. He is one of the more entertaining guys on the roster and I'm glad they are finally using him.

I feel torn on this one. Styles should be champion as soon as possible, because Ambrose isn't working out all that well, and Styles is the biggest star and the best wrestler on Smackdown right now by a wide margin. But the build for this has been so tame. The mild build didn't make it feel like we were getting a title change this weekend. I think they might stretch it out until the next pay per view.

This is another hard one to call, largely because I keep skipping all these segments because Bray Wyatt's shtick is so fucking boring. Both guys need the win here, but I feel like establishing Orton as a major babyface on the show is more important, given Cena is currently gone and Orton is just back. I do think that we could get a BS finish here, maybe due to Luke Harper returning. I'll guess Orton goes over by DQ and he gets the clean win at the next pay per view.

This sucks. It speaks to the depth of the tag team division. The Hype Bros are terrible. Nobody believes they'll win. This is basically a pointless question. But there you are.

I don't know where they go here. Slater and Rhyno are one of the biggest stories on Smackdown, so it feels like they could win from that perspective. But on the other hand, heel Usos as champs with American Alpha chasing and Slater continuing his act as free agent (which has a little more gas) makes more sense and would make for better television. I'll take a risk on the Usos.

I'm so worried it's going to be Nikki, but it should be Becky. It's her time. She's been the most overlooked woman on the roster forever. She was the also-ran in the Four Horsewomen forever, with Bayley being the champ on NXT and Charlotte and Sasha being top face and top heel in the main roster women's division. If she doesn't get the big win soon, fans will think of her as the next Dolph Ziggler. It's time. Hopefully they use Nikki's elimination to continue her feud with Carmella, which has been surprisingly decent thus far.

The Miz is hot right now, so you gotta give him the win. I feel a Ziggler heel turn may be coming soon, so taking the loss will just feed into that story and shouldn't hurt him any more than he is already.
