NFL Reinstates Josh Gordon, suspended 4 games

Postby The Legend » Jul 25, '16, 2:22 pm

Gordon is allowed back and will practice and participate in pre-season before missing first four games. Josh Gordon's first game back will be a showdown with the Patriots in Brady's first game back.

Hope he's able to keep it together. He's such a promising talent and still so young. Plenty of career ahead of him if he works hard and stays out of trouble.

I love how Goodell is just trolling Brady now. Shorty after Brady losses deflategate, Manning gets off free and Josh Gordon gets a reduced suspension :D

Gordon's suspension wasn't reduced, if anything it was extended. Gordon was suspended all of last season and could be reinstated at any point since April.

It was my understanding that up until yesterday Gordon wasn't going to be reinstated because of a diluted sample test back in April. Technically, they could have suspended him for the season again if they deemed it necessary. They instead allowed him a 90 day grace period. If he didn't fail any tests for 90 days he could be reevaluated. Which is what happened. He also gets to play in the pre-season and practice with the team, which Brady doesn't get to do. Not that Brady needs the pre-season.
