I'm still down to keep going. We just got to figure out who's going to do those other divisions.

I'd like to keep doing it and I'll take the AFC East if no one else wants it.

Ok. We can keep going. If no one wants to take the last division by tomorrow, I will take it. I will catch up the picks at that time as well.

The picks have been updated to today. @CMPUNKFAN please make your pick this time. If he doesn't then I am open to someone else making the pick instead. Tomorrow will be @Everlong's pick and then we should be back on track.

With the 13th pick in the 2016 SquaredCircle Mock Draft the Miami Dolphins select

Image
Myles Jack, OLB, UCLA

I know Jack has some injury concerns, but I believe he'll put those behind him and he's too talented to fall much past this point. Jack will help the Dolphins defense immensely by being a big time playmaker from the edge of this defense.

With the 14th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders select...

Image

Makensie Alexander, CB, Clemson

Alexander is projected by most scouts to go in the top 15, and this is a sensible pick for the Raiders. They've already got the nucleus in place on offense. Solid skill position, one of the best offensive lines in football. They need to keep building their defense to be able to compete. Their front 7 is tough as nails, but that secondary needs quite a bit of work. Alexander is a guy who can come in and start (or at least play significantly) immediately at a variety of secondary positions. His versatility will make him a nice replacement for Charles Woodson.

@DBSoT is on the clock.

Man I just really don't see Cook as a first round prospect. I mean I know that's wher ehe's getting graded but maybe that just says a lot about this year's QB class.

I agree with Tim. To me Lynch is clearly the third best QB in the class. I'd have Cook and Hogan running neck and neck for the fourth QB to be drafted though.

QB #1:
Won two B1G championships
Two time B1G championship MVP
Played in a Pro Style offense
Had limited help from WRs do to lack of separation
Took his team to the playoffs while injured at the end of the season
Won three bowl games including the Rose Bowl and Cotten Bowl.

QB 2:
Solid numbers in a lower conference.
Played in a spread offense
Got destroyed by a terrible Auburn defense
Has very good size

I will let you guess which one is better.

QB #1: Carried by a top 3 in the nation defense and a fantastic running game (the two biggest reasons MSU won and made the playoffs this past season)

QB #2: Constantly had to outscore opponents, has better athletic ability and size (you call that a negative, but size does matter), better attitude and leadership, more consistent play.

Re: 2016 Squared Circle NFL Mock Draft

I'm not saying he's an awful prospect or anything, just that I don't think he's a first round caliber player, and that he's benefiting from a weak overall QB class if he's taken this high. Personally I wouldn't risk a mid-first round pick on him, especially given the caliber of other players still on the board.

The Rams are definitely hungry for a QB but they're in a tough spot at that pick. I think they could trade back and still pick him up at the end of the round if they really want him, but we'll see.

I'll have my pick in later today :tim

With the 16th pick in the 2016 NFL draft, the Detroit Lions select...

Image

Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State

Keeping Conklin in Michigan makes sense for the Lions. While there's definitely a need to bring in some more wide receivers, they did just enough in free agency where they probably don't need to spend their top pick on a receiving prospect. This means they can either address their porous offensive line or figure out how to rebuild that defense. Conklin has mid- to late-first round talent. What he lacks for in agility he makes up for in raw power and intensity.

That sensible for you, @DBSoT? :P

^ I like the pick. I would probably have taken Taylor Decker there because he is more of a LT and Conklin is more of a RT. It is a toss up for me though. The only reason I would choose Decker is because Reiff at LT scares the crap out of me.

**Updated**

It looks like a Big Ten heavy first round. That isn't a huge surprise considering who is doing the picking, but we also haven't veered very far from what most experts are saying. At least in terms of positions picked per team.

@The Legend, you are up

With the 19th pick of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select...

Image
Robert Nkemdiche, DT, Ole Miss

This is a weird spot to be in. The Bills clearly need to continue to rebuild their defense to have the pieces Rex Ryan wants. Nkemdiche comes with plenty of baggage, but Ryan is the kind of guy that will take that kind of chance and if this pick hits it could be a huge coup for the Bills to acquire a top 10 talent this far down the first round.

With the 20th pick of the 2016 NFL Draft, the New York Jets select...

Image
Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georgia

If we've learned anything in the past couple years, it's that if you are going to build a defense that makes an impact it starts and ends with affecting the quarterback negatively, through the pass rush. Floyd could become the perfect NASCAR package pass rusher that is so valuable as more and more downs become passing downs. There's definitely some physical strength questions and questions about how he'll play the run, but I think the upside beats the downside for him.
