What record will win the AFC South?

Postby Messiah » Oct 26, '15, 11:37 am

People can say what they want about the '10 NFC West or '14 NFC South, but '15 AFC South is by far the worst division I have ever seen at this point. At least the NFC South had proven in the seasons before and (to this point) the season after that the 2014 season was kind of a fluke. AFC South has sucked for years and now it is coming to a head. We legitimately could see all 4 head coaches in this division fired. I mean, is it a stretch to say the AFC South has 4 of the 8 or 10 worst teams in the NFL? Colts and Titans are bad, Jaguars are horrible, and Texans are down right deplorable.

The '14 NFC South had a point differential of -227. '10 NFC West had a point differential of -322. '15 AFC South is on pace for a point differential of -347.

Colts next 3 games are @ Panthers, vs Broncos, and @ Falcons. Does anyone think they will win any of those games? They might win the Falcons game but I doubt it, and the Broncos and Panthers are going to bully them into oblivion. We would be talking about a 3-7 start for them.

Texans are a lost cause. It wouldn't shock me if they didn't win another game this season. They are bad. Jaguars, I don't know how they beat the Bills but they did it. And even then they put their best effort into losing that game against EJ Manuel.

Titans honestly might be the team that wins this division. Texans, Saints, Panthers, Jaguars, Raiders, and Jaguars as their 6 upcoming games.

The Colts will still by the end of the year have 6 division wins. They'll find two-three other wins to finish with an 8-8 or 9-7 record.

Look at the Colts schedule after the bye week:

@ Atlanta
home vs Tampa Bay
@ Pittsburgh
@ Jacksonville
home vs Houston
@ Miami
home vs Titans

They will likely finish the last 6 games with a 5-1 record and already have 3 wins. If they manage to beat Carolina, Denver or Atlanta then they will have a winning record

If the Colts win 9 games, I'll film myself outside naked eating a jar of jelly. And then I'll set the house on fire.

I don't have any faith that they can go on the road and beat Pittsburgh with Ben or the Dolphins. I'm not sold they will beat the Titans or Tampa Bay either. Soft teams don't get better down the stretch IMO.

I'm not betting on them winning in Pittsburgh. The Dolphins have had a nice brief turnaround with Dan Campbell thanks to a well-timed coaching change that allowed them to beat two pathetic teams at the right time, but they are soon to turn back into the NFL's biggest controversial dumpster fire this side of Washington D.C. and nobody on that team will be playing hard by Christmas, while the Colts will still be competing for a playoff spot and fighting hard. They'll beat Tampa. Tampa sucks. Everybody beats Tampa. As for Titans, Houston or Jacksonville, I need to see an AFC South team beat Andrew Luck before I believe an AFC South team can beat Andrew Luck. He just feasts on those losers and will continue to do so. The Colts going 6-0 in the AFC South is the surest bet there is in the NFL.

Six wins legitimately wins the division, I think the Colts finish with 7 or 8. 9 would be a huge stretch.
