Kirk Cousins is actually capable of/interested in reading defenses at least, unlike RG3. But in terms of sheer talent, yeah, it's not close.

Seems like the right decision. RG3 just don't fit with the system they want to put in place. Cousins isn't a star or anything, but he just fits what they want to do much better. I do hope RG3 goes somewhere else. I would like to see if its the situation or him that is the problem. Philly seems like a good fit, but as long as Bradford is healthy (big if), he is the better option.

His rookie year was always kind of overrated. Even I kind of went against my instincts and thought that he was going to be one of the best young QBs (although he did show a lot, can't take that away from him), but I always pointed out that year he wasn't asked to do as much as Luck and Newton were as a rookie. That isn't necessarily an issue, but the offense he ran that year was so simple that it had no chance for longevity. He only ever threw to his first read. He hasn't gotten any better since - he's probably the worst QB in the NFL at reading defenses.

I think he's still salvageable but he has no future in Washington because the coaching staff hates him and he's not a good fit in the system that they run. I like his accuracy and it isn't like his numbers are bad. He just can't read the field at all.



His best attribute is probably his mobility, but he is too fragile for it matter. Plus a lot of what made RG3 so popular initially is because it seemed like he was a humble guy that was just electric on the field. It's become clear since his ego is massive as hell and quite frankly a lot of people don't like the guy, especially his coaching staff aka head coach.
