Tate is a #1 on most teams. Cobb is a #2 on those same teams. Look at the drop off in Seattle without him, even before Harvin was traded. When CJ was injured Tate carried the Lions offense. This is misleading. Jordy didn't start getting starter reps until late 2010. He was basically a starter beginning in 2011. So for a reasonable comparison you'd have to compare stats since then, in which case the stats are much closer.
And in any case, I'm taking the guy with four years of pro bowl level play over the guy with one season of pro bowl level play. He's more proven.
