I think top 4/bottom 4 would work better as well. With no divisions, just 12 team table. That's just me though.

that 2. divisions make things too wonky. a straight table is best route with what we are trying to do. but we need to know now

I would also vote for no divisions if we are going to do the relegation/promotion thing. Also think 4 would be a good number of teams to promote/relegate.
