Biggest surprise in the NFL so far this season?

Postby Everlong » Oct 11, '13, 11:16 am

There have been quite a few surprises so far. I made a poll, but be sure to let me know if there are any I forgot!

Personally I'd vote for the Falcons being 1-4. That's just inexplicable to me. How can a team that talented only have one win in five tries? Not much about them seems to have changed from last year. The Chiefs, you can explain based on the new coach/QB. They already had a ton of talent. The Giants being 0-6 is also quite shocking.

Wow there are lots of suprises this season. For me it Giants at 0-6. Its crazy how bad they have sucked this year. Falcons at 1-4 and Cheifs undefeated ties at a close second for me.

The Browns are the biggest surprise, but that is coupled with the fact that the franchise was willing to give up there best player and basically give up the season. Even after trading Richardson they still remained competitive. Hoyer going down is a killer though.

Needs to be broken into "pleasant surprises" and "shitty shockers."

I'm mad for the Falcons, they should be ruling. I am so shocked but happy that the Chiefs aren't performing oral every Sunday. :lol

Giants 0-6. Never in my life did I expect the team to be that bad. Been 30 years since they've been this bad.

You have a 2 time Superbowl MVP leading a team that is 0-6 right now. I can't believe that. At all.

Did you see that Bill Simmons wrote up something saying the Giants should trade Eli to the Browns for picks? Crazy.

Eli never should have been MVP of that first Super Bowl either. It should have been someone on the defensive line, they harassed Brady all night.

Yeah ive always thought that the defensive line as a whole should have won that MVP.

The Giants have one of the poorest line backer units we've seen in the NFL. Their offensive line isn't that great either but there's no excuse for all of Eli's INTs. They need a new offensive scheme of some sort because the plays on offense are not working at all against defenses.

I'm just thinking that the way things are going now, whatever team wins the NFC East will probably have a losing record. I'm an Eagles fan, but I'm still happy for Andy Reid. I knew he would improve KC, but I'm surprised that he hasn't lost a game yet.

As a life long KC mark, I'm loving Andy Reid. However, and I can't be alone on this, I feel he should be wearing a red plaid kilt. That guy has to be a fellow Scot. I'm Ashlocke and Leith descendant, nothing is complete without a kilt and bagpipe. :lol

As big of a surprise as the Giants are, I think I'm more shocked by the Falcons in a negative way. I mean that team is so talented on paper - significantly more talented than the Giants at pretty much every position except QB. Positively, the Jets are the biggest surprise in that direction with how Geno Smith has played and that unit as a whole is far exceeding my expectations.

If the Lions don't beat the Packers and Giants this year I will be pissed.

Eli Manning is just clinging on 2 postseasons runs at this point because outside of that, Matt Ryan is definitely a much superior QB than Eli Manning is.

Ryan is a better player, but it's not as significant as it is at the other positions that's what I was trying to point out. I mean the Giants are basically Eli and 52 other scrubs.

Definitely the Giants 0-6 start. Then I think the Chiefs 6-0 start, but they have a damn good team.
