Is Jimmy Graham soft and overrated?

Postby DanielsonTHAGOAT » Jan 13, '14, 10:09 am

Before the Seahawks beat the Saints in the playoffs, Michael Bennet, the DE for the Seahawks said that Graham is soft and overrated. I think it's crazy how he was considered the second best player behind Peyton Manning on the offensive side of the ball and he completely disappeared in the playoffs.

Is Graham overrated?

What? :lol

He's not overrated unless anyone truly believes he actually is the second best offensive player (I've never heard that). Just a down game against one of the best pass defenses I have ever seen. Not really a testament of his abilities. With that said Graham has always been easier to shut down than Rob Gronkowski. The only thing Graham does better than Gronk is stay healthy. Gronk imposes his will on defenses.

Yeah I've never heard anyone say that Graham is the second-best offensive player in football, and if they were indeed saying that then they were just sipping on some real funky kool-aid. Graham is an outstanding tight end, but I don't think he's even the best overall player at his position (Gronk, when healthy) let alone the 2nd best offensive player in the NFL.
