GAME OF THE WEEK - New Orleans Saints (6-2) at Buffalo Bills (5-3), NO by 3 - Who thought this would be the game of the week when the season started? Both of these teams have gone from surprising upstarts to legitimate contenders that show every week that they are just plain better than people thought they were. Defense travels and the Saints have a great one, I think that carries them through this week. NO Saints 24,
Buffalo Bills 21
THURSDAY NIGHT - Seattle Seahawks (5-3) at Arizona Cardinals (4-4), SEA by 6 - This game could be competitive if it weren't for the injuries that have ravaged the Cardinal offense. Seattle is getting worse each season, but they will likely be good enough to be a fringe playoff competitor for one more year. Seattle Seahawks 24, Arizona Cardinals 17
Minnesota Vikings (6-2) at Washington (4-4), MIN by 1 - The Vikings are a strong team, but I don't think they are good enough to pull off a road win over a Washington squad that's going to make a playoff push in the back half of the season. Kirk Cousins should take it to the next level as he gets closer to the long term deal he's looking for. UPSET!!! Washington 23, Minnesota Vikings 21
Green Bay Packers (4-4) at Chicago Bears (3-5), CHI by 5.5 - The Packers can't beat anyone with Brett Hundley at quarterback, well except maybe the Texans with Tom Savage at quarterback. Chicago Bears 23,
GB Packers 14
Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2) at Indianapolis Colts (3-6), PIT by 10 - LOL. Pittsburgh Steelers 24, Indy Colts 17
Los Angeles Chargers (3-5) at Jacksonville Jaguars (5-3), JAX by 3.5 - The Jags are finally cashing in on this year being the year for them. They are young and hungry and they have an edge that will help them win. Jacksonville Jaguars 23, LA Chargers 18
New York Jets (4-5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-6), NYJ by 2.5 - The New York Jets were supposed to be awful. They were supposed to be a team that was incapable of winning. They are going to be a .500 team two-thirds of the way through the season. NY Jets 27, TB Buccaneers 14
Cincinnati Bengals (3-5) at Tennessee Titans (5-3), TEN by 4.5 - Both of these teams are just kind of middle of the pack. Don't do anything great, aren't horrible at anything. The Titans should hold a narrow edge as the home team. Tennessee Titans 21, Cincy Bengals 19
Cleveland Browns (0-8) at Detroit Lions (4-4), DET by 12 - Last Sunday was the most enjoyable an NFL Sunday has been in over two years. Now the Browns, the team that even manages to lose their bye week (see: Jimmy Garoppolo and AJ McCarron failed trades and the embarrassment that followed), returns to the field to continue their humiliation of Cleveland. Detroit Lions 30, Cleveland Browns 10
Houston Texans (3-5) at Los Angeles Rams (6-2), LAR by 12 - That sound is the Texans season going up in smoke. LA Rams 35, Houston Texans 16
Dallas Cowboys (5-3) at Atlanta Falcons (4-4), ATL by 3 - This is another fascinating game. Both of these teams should have been playoff frontrunners, but now they are both barely hanging on. It could be crucial in the race for a wild card, I think Dallas will manage to continue Atlanta's Super Bowl hangover. UPSET!!! Dallas Cowboys 26, Atlanta Falcons 23
New York Giants (1-7) at San Francisco 49ers (0-9), NYG by 2.5 - The Niners have to win a game at some point and the Giants are exploding as badly as any team I can remember (and I'm a Browns fan). UPSET!!!
SF Niners 21, NY Giants 20
New England Patriots (6-2) at Denver Broncos (3-5), NE by 7.5 - The Patriots are getting hotter, the Broncos are getting colder. That's a bad combination. NE Patriots 27, Denver Broncos 20
Miami Dolphins (4-4) at Carolina Panthers (6-3), CAR by 9 - This one should be a low scoring slugfest. Miami's ineptness on offense is just a little bit greater. Carolina Panthers 21, Miami Dolphins 17
