Browns match the 1976 Buccaneers

Postby The Legend » Oct 23, '16, 7:39 pm

So today Cody Kessler received a concussion, meaning the Browns had to play rookie Kevin Hogan at quarterback. Hogan became the 6th QB to play in the first seven games. Six QB's in the first seven games matches a mark by the 1976 Bucs. Yes, those 1976 Bucs that went 0-14 in possibly the worst NFL season of all time. The Browns are also 0-7, halfway to the 0-14 mark of Tampa Bay.

I have never had more faith in a team hitting 0-16 than I do the Browns. I knew it was over for them once they lost to the Titans.

The only game left I think they COULD win is vs the Jets and that is only because Fitzpatrick can turn the ball over like its nobody's business at any time.

I thought they could win next week against the Jets, but then Kessler got a concussion, I don't think they can win with Kevin Hogan at QB. Maybe Josh McCown's collarbone will be healed enough to play. If they don't win next Sunday, the only other win I could possibly see would be a Christmas miracle where a blizzard in Cleveland makes a mess and the SoCal San Diego Chargers can't handle the miserable weather in a 7-3 or 7-0 game.

Six QBs in seven games is nearly statistically impossible. Only the Browns could have that shitty of luck.

I thought starting 24 QB's in 17 seasons was bad. This season is just a bad Groundhog Day.
