What Super Bowl would upset you most?

Postby The Legend » Aug 07, '15, 8:25 am

So with the season around the corner I thought this might be a fun discussion. We all know each others' favorite teams, so we all know who we are hoping makes the Super Bowl, but what about who we don't want to see in the Super Bowl? In other words, of all 32 teams in the NFL which two teams would you like to see the least?

For me, I'll break away from the obvious rivalries and pick two teams that would be incredibly frustrating to see in the Super Bowl for me. I don't want to see the Minnesota Vikings vs the Houston Texans more so than any other matchups. The reason why is simple. For me it would be about a matchup of the ones that got away. The Browns had a chance to draft Teddy Bridgewater (who I wanted them to draft all along) and picked Johnny Suckballs instead. Then they had Brian Hoyer and chose Manziel and Josh Freakin McCown both over him. After all the struggles the Browns have had finding a quarterback to believe in seeing two guys that were right under their noses get away and lead other teams to the Super Bowl would be very frustrating. If it were to happen I would also think that it would mean more change is coming, because I'm not sure how a GM like Ray Farmer could keep his job with that obvious of a talent evaluation oversight at the game's most important position.

As long as the Giants don't fall ass-backwards into another championship they have no business winning, I'll be cool with any result.

I second Battleaxe, I don't want to see Eli Manning's stupid face anywhere near the Super Bowl. I don't want to see Chip Kelley's stupid face anywhere near it either, for that matter.

I bleed Eagles green, so I can't exactly get on board with the part about Chip Kelly, haha.

The obvious one for me would be New England vs Seattle. That would be 3 straight for Seattle and back to back for New England. Screw that shit. My secondary selection would be Tampa Bay vs Houston Texans. I would be pissed if I had to watch Jameis Winston in a Super Bowl as a rookie. I have nothing against Houston, but as a Lions fan I am tired of watching expansion teams get to the Super Bowl before Detroit.

Being an Eagles fan, I can definitely identify with that kind of logic haha.

I don't really have a problem with any AFC teams, but I hate the city of Houston, so I guess boo Texans.

I guess the logical choice would be New England (for obvious reasons), but there really isn't an AFC team that I necessarily hate more than other teams.

I can get on board with this. I really don't want to see Jacksonville, Houston or Detroit get to a Super Bowl before Cleveland. It would be a lot of fun if Cleveland and Detroit could meet in both team's first Super Bowl.

I don't want Seattle anywhere near the super bowl. I don't care as much about afc teams but I guess the worst would be Seattle vs Denver again.

I actually have a buddy who made a promise with his friend (from Cleveland) that if the Lions played the Browns in the Super Bowl they would pay to go see it. No matter where it was. :lol
