Johnny Manziel heading to the NFL draft

I think we all pretty much saw this coming. The question is, how successful will he be as a pro QB? How early in the draft will he go? Who's going to take a chance on him?

I think it's safe to say the kid has a ton of talent, but it's really hard to know for sure how successful he'll be in the NFL given his size, his limited sample size of play in college and his attitude.

I don't think he will ever be anything more then a career backup that starts a dozen or so games his entire career.

I'm not sure he heads to Houston. That is just where is agent works out of.

Well this is terrifying news to me as a fan of a team looking for a quarterback in this draft. Would have much preferred Mariota to come out and Manziel to go back to school. Whenever I look at him and evaluate his potential I can't help but think his career track will follow that of Ryan Leaf.

Manziel will not get taken in the first round. Plenty of talent but very poor football mechanics and erratic accuracy. Will take a team being patient with him and of course, Manziel maturing.

I can see him as a late first round pick, like Brady Quinn. Great in college, but probably won't have great success in the NFL. His mechanics are pretty poor and he seems to bounce around on every play. Don't think he'll survive very long doing that in the pros.

I kind of agree. He may look good in a few games but will either be a career back up or get cut and never heard from again. The only difference is, he is not nearly as well liked as Tebow so he won't even have the media coverage to keep him relevant for an extra season.

Good luck to him. I think he'll either be a big grab or a bust, no in between.
