Well, the team that got him promoted just won 5-0 against a Queen of the South side who were flying coming into the game. Martyn Waghorn hopefully back to form with a hat trick, Andy Halliday wore the captain's armband and was easily man of the match, immense tonight.

Great win over Everton last night. Shame we couldn't have done it last season. Players worked hard and were clinical with the few opportunities we had, which hasn't been the case for too long now. Josh Murphy's second was a great finish. Also looked pretty solid defensively which is a plus.

Hopefully we can do one over on the rentboys tomorrow, give us an even bigger confidence boost, so happy to see us finally strengthen in the key areas missing.

Coventry's owners are selling the club's training ground for housing development and apparently there are no plans in place for a new training area.

The club is bottom of League One, set to lose its academy and training ground and the owners have banned the press from attending conferences and reporting on the club. When will the FA step in?

First half performance from Man United was absolute class, best they'd looked in ages. They certainly looked better without Rooney. It was the best I'd seen them play since that 08/09 season where they were world class.

Ibrahimović looked great at times, and at others was very frustrating. He drops a bit deep for my liking. He's a great passer but even better in the air, and to see him drop deep and chip balls towards guys like Rashford and Valencia is a bit annoying. He'd benefit from receiving many of the passes he actually plays. He should have buried that volley in the first half too, it would have been a worldie.

Very telling that they played that well without Rooney.

If you want a good bet, put a tenner on Di Matteo to be the first Championship manager sacked this season.

- After we lose today, we'll have one win from 9 games which came against relegation contenders Rotherham.

- He spent £50 million signing some of the Championship's top scorers (Kodjia, McCormack) and solid Premier League players (Elphick, Chester, De Laet, Jedinak)

- We've thrown away more points from winning positions than anyone in the league. If we held on to winning positions, we'd be top of the league.

- The players' body language is awful and players look beaten as soon as they leave the tunnel.

- We have a new foreign owner with big ambitions and a lot of money, who has shown he isn't afraid to throw people under the bus.

It has all the makings of a quick sacking. Thank me afterwards.

All the talk before the game was no Rooney but with no Carrick also, that was more of a concern but really enjoyed Herrera's performance. He's energetic, can do the nippy passes round the corner, gets stuck in (although not successfully all the time). Blind, had a good game as well. Mata excelled in his natural position. Pogba's role still needs definition but will boost his confidence.

Also, anyone at Chelsea (Roman Abramovich) who thought re-signing Luiz would see the defender show how he has improved since his time away have been blown away by Arsenal in their game. Cahill is utter shit without Terry holding his hand and should be getting crucified for his lack of authority as an experienced player. Conte hasn't got the players he needs to succeed and having an ageing squad, players lacking a more winning mentality, won't help him.

Wasteful performance from Rangers. I only caught the second half but I felt they were the better team going forward and should've at least got a point from the game.

That free kick at the end was a horrible way to lose it, especially as they had the momentum with them after that penalty. Some crazy challenges flying in as well at times.

I've not seen the full game, just the goals and that "foul". Wasteful sounds like an accurate description of Rangers this year. Have a tendency to dominate games for large spells and come away with nothing to show for it, which is a real problem, especially when the goals we do give away are as cheap as Aberdeen's opener (not much to say about the second one, the fourth official said it wasn't a foul, I watched it, he was right).

Absolute banter from Big Sam. "Prince Harry is a naughty boy, a very naughty boy. He shows his bottom and all sorts"

Villa concede again in the final few minutes of the game, throwing away another lead.

Some guy from the Birmingham Mail said that supporting Villa is like having a great holiday, but then being punched in the face by the holiday rep as you board the plane to go home. It's a good analogy but a bit off the mark - the holiday rep would have to knock you out cold, take all your money and possessions and the plane plummets into the middle of the ocean on the way back, killing everyone on board.

I want Sherwood as England manager. Big Sam has set the banter bar quite high, and only Tactics Tim can surpass it.

2016 - the year the gilet rises from the ashes.

Tony Mowbray has resigned as Coventry manager.

- No manager
- No money
- Bottom of the league
- Don't own their stadium
- Owners are selling off the training ground to it can be turned into houses
- Academy is on the verge of folding

Fans are basically begging for liquidation at this point so the pain is over. The owners, a shady group called SISU, have run the club into the ground and the FA have done nothing. Fuck this whole situation.

Be nice if the Telegraph or other media would report on this more prominently..

How does a team concede two goals in the 95th minute of injury time? Fucking unbelievable. Three goals conceded consecutively, exactly the same way. A long ball, straight down the middle, that fucking Russel Martin and Seb Bassong fail to deal with. So many times we've conceded goals like that in the past three seasons, because our defence is fucking atrocious.

Unbelievably, that's the second time this year we've been 3-1 up and somehow thrown it away in stoppage time.
