This Euro expansion has been a poor decision in terms of diluting quality. Croatia-Portugal, on paper should have been a brilliant game yet it was boring until the 117th minute of extra time.

England always seem so desperate to make a hasty exit from tournaments. Iceland are controlling the game against us currently. Grim to watch.

We're so sluggish in possession and Rooney is not having a good game at all. Also too many long hopeful balls into the channels so far.

Why is Rooney even on the pitch?

Honestly, if we're using Rooney as a central midfielder then I believe there are much better options.

It's no secret that Rooney has declined a lot in quality over the years. Still. any England manager seems to be afraid to drop him for some reason. We have better strikers than him and better midfielders. I honestly don't see how they can benefit from having him on the pitch.

His first touch has been so loose in this game too. Might as well have Welbeck playing.

Mark Noble should be playing in his position really. He had a great season and deserved a place in the squad.

I almost want to cheer for Iceland because of their war chant. Bad ass.

I hope England don't score. And if they do, I hope someone scores again before the end. I don't think I can deal with 30 extra minutes of this.

Fucking hell - couldn't believe what I was seeing last night but rightly England were knocked the fuck out by Iceland.

Just abysmal from start to finish. Rashford did more in five minutes than any other England player.

Rooney showed how the midfield experiment, which Hodgson implemented in the friendly games, was doomed but Wayne is all about protecting his position so no doubt he'll be asking the new manager to play him in defence!

Joe Hart was a bellend before this tournament but his attention-seeking tunnel rants have shown up him big time, - two mistakes and showed shite leadership seeing their goalkeeper and a senior player losing his rag before a ball has been kicked.

Hodgson's comments today and FA chief executive Martin Glenn's words have been a car-crash, he was clueless and never showed any plans. Just mix it together and send em out.

Next England boss will be.... Gareth Southgate! I'd go for Allardyce or Bruce as the realistic options available.

I have no word Re: England, absolutely awful, they all gave up in the second half, not giving a fuck about the fans that bothered to travel to see that shit. Hodgson should hang his head in shame along with the rest of them so-called "England professionals"

Glad Roy fucked off though. Genuinely celebrated like if I would if England had got through, it felt like a win when he resigned. According to Sky Sports, Jurgen Klinsmann is "intrigued" by the England job, which I wouldn't mind. Would be better than that Yes-Man Gareth Southgate like it's been rumoured.

I'm struggling to think of anyone I actually want as England manager to be honest. I think it's a combination of barely anyone being available, and me not really caring because we're shit.

England somwhow continue to be the most overrated team in history. Hodgson was horrendous though, some of his choices were baffling.

I'm hoping Poland can get past Portugal tonight, I have watched all of both teams games and I'd say Poland have been better so far. My Fiance is Polish so I stuck a bet on them to win the tournament a few month ago and now It's getting pretty exciting the closer they get to the final!
